Cristina Mendes Pires
Head of Knowledge Management, Technology and Innovation
Cristina Mendes Pires is responsible for the Knowledge Management, Technology and Innovation Department of CCR Legal.
With more than 16 years of experience in Knowledge Management (“KM”) she was a pioneer, in Portugal, in the creation and development of KM databases for law firms and in the organization and leadership of KM departments in law firms.
Combining her experience as a lawyer with her knowledge in management information systems, she is Head of the KM Department of CCR Legal, being also responsible for the development of innovation projects related to Legal Tech, (notably document automation and machine learning), and for the development of tools that aim to improve the effectiveness of Lawyers and increase Client satisfaction.
Before joining CCR Legal she was founder and Director of the Knowledge Management Department at Miranda & Associados from 2012 to 2017.
Between 2009 and 2012 she was Director of the Knowledge Management Department at Sérvulo & Associados.
From 2002 to 2009 she was head of the KM Department at Vieira de Almeida & Associados.
Before becoming involved with the Knowlegde Management area she worked as a lawyer at Vieira de Almeida & Associados and previously at Soares Machado & Associados, developing her activity with focus on corporate law.
She started her career in 1993 as a trainee lawyer at PLMJ Advogados.
